Fuel consumption represents around 1/3 of the total cost of ownership of a machine, hence the need for material handling professionals to get a clear and reliable picture of their current or future equipment's consumption. We, at MANITOU Group, were the first manufacturer to disclose the fuel consumption of our machines, measured with strict protocols validated by UTAC and which have since become the cornerstone of a European standard (EN16796-4) regulating telehandlers' energy efficiency.
With the introduction of battery-electric machines, the equation is changing towards lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance operations but higher material acquisition price.

Fuel consumption data is retrieved through actual testing of our machines following strict protocols.
The calculator involves pre-determined ratios based on estimated machines' duty-cycle (Handling/Loading/Idling/Driving) using real-life conditions measurements. Ensure that your methodology uses the ENxxxxx to compare apple to apple.
Reduce emissions
CO2 emissions is a major concern in our a broad spectrum of industries. New products are available to meet the growing requirements of urban access regulations with low-emissions zones aimed at improving air quality while reducing the noise level.
Visual aids and features are made available in our machines to reduce emissions at use through the driver’s cab or the machines’ digital interfaces.
Manitou will continue to develop low-emission products and innovative features to protect drivers, the environment and its employees.
