By using the hand throttle, the right foot pedal becomes a driving pedal and sets the travel speed of the wheel loader, independent of the engine speed.
Customer challenge
Separating engine speed from travel speed is very useful with hydraulic attachments. Slow movements and high hydraulic power are a good combination in many cases.
With the Varidrive system, the operator can select the ideal engine speed with the hand throttle for perfect alignment between the hydraulic flow provided by the machine and the attachment demand. When using this system, the right foot pedal is used to set the machine's travel speed. There is no need to use the inching pedal or to slow the machine by using the brakes.
