Our spare parts solutions Hydraulics, the key to your Manitou tool holder

Manitou has developed hydraulic components, hoses, connectors and quick couplers for attachments, in full compliance with Manitou's quality and safety standards.

The hydraulic hose is central to your machine’s performance. By circulating hydraulic fluid under high pressure, it enables operation of key components such as the boom, cylinder, bucket and so on. While there are different types of hydraulic hoses (single layer, double layer) only original Manitou hoses provide the precise amount of resistance required to operate the components as designed.

Why only use Manitou hydraulic hoses?

Manitou hoses are complex: maximum operational performance is the result of a precise balance between robustness and flexibility.

Our designers have optimised each hose for safe, precise operational tolerances, based on the expected pressures and pressures peaks experienced during usage.

With each hose approved for a given diameter and certified for anti-seepage, Manitou original hoses are the only ones suitable for your specific machine.

What are the risks of not using original hydraulic parts?

Selecting an improper hose won’t just affect the performance and durability of your machine, it will create a hazardous environment for anyone working nearby.

This is why hoses must be of the same brand: the same quality, tested for your specific machine, with the same approval certificates.

Original Manitou hoses can be identified by the Manitou part number on the metal fittings. The maximum pressure is also marked on the hose – the key criterion to establish its suitability for your machine. Manitou hoses are also delivered with plugs to avoid pollution of the components.

Ensure hose safety and longevity by checking them regularly with a simple visual inspection:

  • Make sure there is no friction between hoses or against any metal parts, which would cause premature wear of their protective rubber coating.
  • Check that the metal ply does not show through the rubber coating. If it does, urgent replacement is necessary.
  • Check the hose has not changed color due to corrosion or chemical modification. If it has, change it immediately.

Periodic inspection helps avoid the risk of serious accidents caused by unexpected loosening or damage to the hose. If in doubt, seek advice immediately from your Manitou dealer.
