Four New MTA Telehandler Range Models

Manitou is pleased to add four additional Telehandlers to the MTA line:  MTA 950, MTA 950 E74, MTA 1242 MAX and the MTA 1242 MAX E74. These new units build on the success of the recently launched MTA series and provide customers with more options to meet the diverse needs of demanding construction jobsites.

MTA 950 and MTA 950 E74

The new MTA 950 and MTA 950 E74 telehandlers combine the proven performance of the MTA series with a choice of 74 HP or 127 HP engines, giving contractors the flexibility to select the power level that best matches their application.

With a maximum lift capacity of 9,000 lbs. and a maximum lift height of 50 feet, the MTA 950 delivers the reach and strength required for high-demand masonry and material-handling tasks. The machine is capable of landing 5,000 lbs. of material at 47 feet without front stabilizers, a significant advantage that streamlines workflow and eliminates extra setup time.

This performance makes the MTA 950 ideal for moving powered scaffolding modules and positioning heavy loads with precision, helping construction crews maintain productivity and stay on schedule.

MTA 1242 MAX and MTA 1242 MAX E74

Manitou is also introducing the all-new MTA 1242 MAX and MTA 1242 MAX E74 models. These machines are based on the design of the MTA 1242, but feature the addition of front outriggers for enhanced stability and lifting power.

The "MAX" designation makes it easy to distinguish these upgraded models from the standard versions, ensuring customers can quickly identify the right machine for their jobsite needs. While the rated capacity on tires remains the same, deploying the front outriggers increases lift capacity from 2,500 lbs. to 4,000 lbs., depending on forward reach. This expanded capability provides contractors with more versatility when handling materials at extended heights or distances.

Built for Productivity

With these new additions, the MTA telehandler line continues to offer contractors rugged, reliable, and operator-focused machines designed for maximum efficiency. Whether moving scaffolding, placing masonry materials, or tackling complex lift requirements, the new models are engineered to keep pace with the demanding timelines of modern construction projects.

Manitou remains committed to developing innovative solutions that help customers work faster, safer, and smarter—and the new MTA 950, MTA 950 E74, MTA 1242 MAX, and MTA 1242 MAX E74 are the latest proof of that dedication.
