Manitou OSS - Operation Safety System
The Operation Safety System (OSS) is an integrated feature that monitors and helps prevent dangerous operating behaviors. It includes checks for multiple safety points like harness use, uneven terrain travel, sideways slope driving, tipping, and ground obstacle detection. This system combines various alert levels, and all its information is continuously available via connectivity.
Customer challenge
Our customers are confronted with risky behaviors. These misuses could be dangerous for their safety and that of the machine. To support these behaviors, we have created the OSS (Operation Safety System).
- Improved Safety: Enhances overall site safety by proactively identifying and correcting risky operating behaviors through real-time monitoring and alerts.
- Risk Management: Prevents accidents related to common hazards such as unsecured harnesses, unstable terrain travel, or driving on excessive slopes.
- Behavior Correction: Provides data and alerts that help managers train operators and correct dangerous driving or operational habits.
- Data Accessibility: Enables continuous collection and remote accessibility of safety data, allowing for easy monitoring and analysis of compliance and incident trends.
- Operational Insight: Offers comprehensive information on various hazardous events (e.g., tipping warnings, ground obstacles), giving a complete view of operational safety.
