ULM receives 2022 Top 50 New Product Award

Equipment Today, the nationally recognized equipment magazine serving commercial construction contractors, has selected the Manitou Ultra-Light ULM, compact telehandler as one of the favored new construction products of 2022.

The 2022 Contractors’ Top 50 New products represent the best and brightest new product introductions and enhancements that exhibit innovation, quality, efficiency, and productivity in the construction equipment field. The awarded products are based on submitted nominations and audience engagement during a 12-month period on ForConstructionPros.com and narrowed down by the editorial team and advisory board.

Manitou’s new ULM ultra-light telehandler provides a unique solution in diverse markets due to its lightweight design, compact dimensions and ease of operation. Its empty vehicle weight is under 6,000 lbs. allowing these machines to be transported by a pick-up truck and trailer, virtually mobile to any jobsite.

“We are proud for the Manitou ULM to be awarded within the Contractors’ Top 50 New Products for Equipment Today, as this new machine opens up many opportunities in the Rental, Construction and Agricultural segments in North America,” says Steve Kiskunas, Manitou Group Global Product Manager for Telescopic Handlers. “The compactness of the ULM along with the ability to carry up to 2,650 lbs. to 14 feet, makes these units a profitable game changer for contractors to continue to perform versatile tasks in the most confined work environments.”

“The annual Contractors’ Top 50 New Products awards represent the products contractors see most to boost productivity and profitability,” says Erica Floyd, Equipment Today editor. “A labor shortage, record inflation, high fuel prices and supply chain challenges made this year’s product launches more important than ever.

“The products listed in these pages captured the attention of Equipment Today and ForConstructionPros.com, indicating that contractors view these products as invaluable tools to increase efficiency, save costs, and improve performance on their jobsites.”
